Foundation football is flourishing at Leamington Hibs on Thursay evenings. The emphasis is on fun with youngsters aged 4-6 enjoying learning the basic skills of the game in a party atmosphere under the guidance of qualified, CRB checked coaches and a handful of enthusiastic parents. Players of all abilities are welcomed from the age of four. Whilst the success of the soccer school can be measured in smiles, results have been tremendous too with last seasons U6s finishing runners up in their first tournament and winning their second, the U7s winning 2 tournaments and all but three of their first 20 friendlies and the U8s finishing in the top half of the Coventry A Division in their first season together.

The organisation of the training groups will be fluid to enable players to train at the appropriate level, regardless of age, and continuously reviewed as players improve or new players come in. Further changes are expected to accommodate additional players and players may be moved to training groups deemed appropriate to build their confidence or improve their level. At the end of the day the objective is to deliver 2-3 teams capable of competing for honours in the three divisions of the Coventry U8 League with players playing at a level best suited to their individual needs.
