APRIL 2008 PROMOTION TWICE AS NICE FOR HIBS U12S

In recent years, the U12 divisions of the Coventry Junior league have proved a happy hunting ground for Hibs teams. On Sunday, both Hibs U12 Juniors and Hibs U12 Colts secured promotion places, the third consecutive season of success for Hibs within this age group. Under managers Paul Johnson and Malcolm Lane, the colts have won all but three of their fixtures and unbeaten since the first day of the season, topped the C division scoring 140+ goals in the process. In the B division, the Juniors under manager Mike Parry, made it two successful promotion campaigns on the trot finishing runners up to eventual winners Rugby Town who emerged victorious from the fixture between the two teams on Sunday that decided the title race. So impressive have been the league and cup performances of the two teams this season, the league may now choose to double jump the Colts team and award the squad with the rare accolade of fielding two teams in next seasons Coventry A division. In the meantime, the boys are now looking forward to more success in this summers six a sides.
