11/03/12 – Hibs U9 Colts 4 v 1 Firefighters Rangers (Home) – Supplementary Cup
Monday, March 12, 2012 at 01:01PM Before the match Barry had told Owen and Elliott that 4 more goals and that would make 50 goals between them for the season so far. Was he predicting the future or just a lucky guess?! because that is exactly what happened in this game.
Goal 1 – Owen - Oliver found Elliott in space who in turn fed the ball to Owen. The ball bobbled in front of him but Owen half volleyed the ball into the roof of the net.
Goal 2 – Owen - Jack earned a free kick just outside the box and with Oliver off the pitch Owen placed the ball and curled it with power into the net.
Firefighters caught Colts from the restart with a wonderful goal which floated in just over Hugos head.
Half time 2-1
Firefighters came back fighting in the second half and had some good chances which Hugo saved brilliantly.
Goal 3 – Owen - With only 5 minutes left on the clock a shot from Ben was only parried by the keeper and Owen was on hand to bundle home the ball for his Hat Trick and 25th goal of the season.
Goal 4 – Elliott - The move of the game. Oliver played a ball to Owen who controlled and played a fantastic pass to Elliott. He smacked it first time into the bottom corner for his 25th goal of the season. Fantastic!
