Tough game for the boys against an experienced Taz team who have a season of U8 football behind them. Hidden behind the result there were some positives, most notably restricting the opposition to a single goal in the second half. All keepers performed admirably and could do little about the goals with Alex showing a distinct improvement in his distribution. The two Jacks at the back managed to thwart most of the attacks between them but elsewhere we lacked the discipline in position needed to counterattack or prevent the ball from coming straight back at us. More games are needed to build the boys experience and understanding and there remains a lot of work to do before they are ready for league football.
