Leamington Hibs FC would like to thank the 200+ teams that
entered our Festival.
The Birmingham FA launched their summer 'Get into Football' by
celebrating England Football Day at the Leamington Hibernian Summer festival and
the London FA attended on the Saturday to film the event. FA senior development
officer Heidi Lockyer brought the crew down to Ajax Park to celebrate the event,
timed to coincide with hundreds of events across the UK aimed to encourage
anybody to play, coach and celebrate the game.
We were joined by team from London, Liverpool, Crew and more , boys and girls
aged from 5-16 and Hibs first ever senior ladies tournament. Glorious sunshine
throughout the weekend added to the carnival atmosphere as did the appearance of
Coventry City mascot, Sky Blue Sam who toured the pitches with a seemingly
tireless group of young fans.
